A community update regarding COVID-19

Dear White Horse Village Community,

This week, we decided to curtail some of our re-opening plans for the following reasons:

  • A significant percentage of team members tested positive for COVID-19 following last week’s testing process.
  • Some of the positive team members had contact with many residents throughout our community.

Any resident identified as being in close contact with a positive team member has already been notified and offered testing. There were a total of 8 team members that received positive test results this week. There are presently 10 COVID-19 positive team members out of work, and all remain asymptomatic.

Rather than wait for additional test results, which is now taking upwards of 7 days, we are taking actions to mitigate the spread of the virus in our community. As a result, several programs and offerings will be temporarily suspended.

The clubhouse, hair salon, and wellness center are now temporarily closed. Outdoor sporting events and programs/meetings under the tent on campus are canceled until further notice. In dining services, curbside pick-up processes will continue as scheduled.

Although visitors are permitted on campus in Residential, we are discouraging visitors until we receive the results of this week’s testing.

In the next few days, we will be outlining plans to offer COVID-19 testing for all Residential residents.

Together, we can (and we will!),
