A community update regarding COVID-19
Dear White Horse Village Community,
As August comes to a close, I’m quickly reminded that so is summer. What initially seemed as if summer would never get here now feels like it flew by too fast.
With the nice weather and positive COVID-19 test results, we are pleased to reduce restrictions on campus and have both our Residential and Healthcare Reopening plans move in a positive direction. Now in Step 2 of our Healthcare Reopening Implementation Plan, we have welcomed family and friends to Healthcare for scheduled visits with residents. Also, there was a “buzz” around our Clubhouse this week as outdoor residential meetings and wellness programs were underway, and our Paddock Grille opened up for a modified take-out process.
We are following protocols for ongoing COVID-19 testing for residents and team members in Healthcare and a second Residential-wide testing day planned for Monday, September 28.
Our annual flu vaccine clinics are being planned during the first few weeks of October. We encourage all residents, even if they haven’t in the past, to get a flu vaccine this year in light of the current public health crisis with COVID-19 and assisting the health system with keeping hospital beds available to treat those who need it due to COVID-19.
With warm regards,
Len Weiser, President & CEO
