A community update regarding COVID-19

Dear White Horse Village Community,

Just like the broader community outside of White Horse Village, we have both team members and residents who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Contact tracing is being conducted, which has led to additional testing and the need for some residents to quarantine at home. Currently, we have one resident in Bridlewood personal care, and one team member out of work, being monitored for COVID-19.

We continue to support our residents and team members through the challenges presented by this worldwide public health crisis using various communication methods, including TV Broadcasts, written communication, and the use of technology applications.

We continually evaluate what services we can resume by utilizing modified practices to ensure safety and reduce exposure to COVID-19. We encourage residents, team members, family members, and other partners to wear masks when interacting with others, wash their hands, avoid touching their faces, and maintain a 6’ distance whenever possible. With the increased positivity rates, it is apparent that the virus is “alive and well” in the community, and it is spreading.

We encourage our residents and their families to modify their traditional holiday plans of in-person gatherings and utilize Zoom, telephone, and other means for connecting. We also advise our residents to limit off-campus travel to reduce the risk of exposure to the coronavirus.

These are challenging times, and it is taking our whole “village” working together to minimize the impacts of COVID-19.

We are strong and resilient. I am optimistic about our ability to work together as a community to combat this virus.

Together, we can!
