A community update regarding COVID-19

Dear White Horse Village Community,

While we ended the month of April with a lot of rain, hopefully bringing us beautiful May flowers, we also ended the month of April with no residents testing positive for COVID-19. Two team members that tested positive have returned to work, and two other team members are recovering at home. Today, we received confirmation that a team member in Personal Care who has been out of work since April 12 tested positive. We currently have three team members out of work who will not return until released by a physician.

We continue to receive questions via email about testing. Per the guidance of our medical director, in consultation with Main Line Health and the PA Department of Health, we will not do campus-wide testing for residents nor team members. Testing is recommended when a person exhibits symptoms and/or lives with someone who has tested positive. While test kits may be available, in order to have a laboratory complete the diagnostic study, a physician must write a prescription for testing.

We are looking forward to celebrating Cinco de Mayo tomorrow with a campus-wide happy hour of nachos and sangria.

With Mother’s Day coming up this weekend, we would like to remind everyone that visitors are NOT permitted on campus. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please check our website whitehorsevillage.org/covid-19-information for updates and email questions to Covid19Questions@whitehorsevillag.org.

May the fourth be with you,

Len Weiser, President & CEO
