A community update regarding COVID-19

Dear White Horse Village Community,

Yesterday, we were notified that three residents in Canterbury Skilled Nursing tested positive for COVID-19 despite all of the safety protocols implemented to mitigate the spread of the virus.

In the Healthcare Center, our protocol has been to check resident temperatures twice daily and because of this practice, we identified residents having elevated temperatures and had them tested for COVID-19.

We are waiting for test results for four additional residents in Canterbury. As a result of the three positive cases, we are evaluating our protocol for testing all residents and team members in Canterbury. We will provide more updates as these plans are finalized.

On Friday, May 15, we received confirmation that two additional team members tested positive for COVID-19. As of today, we have 14 team members that have tested positive. Seven team members have been released to return to work, and seven are recovering at home. We have one team member that is considered a Person Under Investigation (PUI).

Please email questions to Covid19Questions@whitehorsevillage.org.

With warm regards,

Len Weiser, President & CEO
