An update to our residents on COVID-19

March 26, 2020

Dear Residents,

In light of the Pennsylvania Governor’s “stay-at-home” order issued on March 23, we are asking that no visitors come to campus. While we have NO cases of COVID-19 on campus, other nearby communities are reporting cases. For the health and safety of our residents and team members, please adhere to the community safety protocols and restrictions, and always maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet.

Important Community Updates:

  • Campus Access
    • We are strongly recommending that outside visitors do not visit campus at this time.
  • Deliveries
    • All deliveries should be left outside on your doorstep.
  • Health Screenings
    • All team members and private home health workers, and White Horse Village vendors/contractors receive health screenings upon arrival to campus.
  • Outpatient Rehabilitation Services
    • The Outpatient Department will contact residents receiving therapy services to arrange for at-home services.
  • Healthcare Laundry Services
    • WHV will provide in-house laundry services for any residents who had services provided by a family member off-campus.
  • Dining Services
    • We improved the meal delivery process. We appreciate your patience as the dining team works hard to deliver over 650 meals.
    • Please do not return leftover food from meal delivery.
    • Paper bags for meal delivery are on backorder. Bob Higgins has contacted a Delaware company that creates benches/chairs from the plastic bags. Please save your plastic bags for future collection.
  • Mail Delivery
    • Outgoing USPS/internal mail should be placed in mail bins between 9 am and 12 pm on Tuesday and Thursday for collection.
    • Incoming USPS/internal mail will be delivered as follows:
      • Tuesday:  includes Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday mail
      • Thursday:  includes Wednesday and Thursday mail
    • Meal/grocery order forms will be included in mail delivery on Tuesday.
    • Completed menu/grocery forms should be placed in marked bins for pick up on Thursdays by 12 pm.
  • Interviews for Job Openings
    • WHV is conducting online job interviews for open positions.
  • Enrichment Programming on WHV-TV
    • Check the Pony Express for added afternoon and evening programs.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Together, we can!

Sincerely,

Len Weiser, President & CEO
