The value of all voices
As a community of diverse voices, backgrounds and personal stories, we recognize the inherent value and strength this brings to our organization. We are committed to creating a welcoming culture where everyone feels their voice is heard, recognized, and celebrated.
Embracing change: welcome to the neighborhood
Changes and improvements are always taking place throughout our community, and we’re excited to lead the way. We have partnered with Action Pact, a pioneer in person-centered care, to assist us with our transformation into household-style living.
The household model will transform our Healthcare and Assisted Living Services into a more intimate environment offering flexibility to meet the individual needs of our residents. In these small neighborhood groups, residents will enjoy building relationships with the same familiar team of caregivers, allowing for more personalized care. Residents are actively involved in voicing their needs in the decision-making process regarding their care and daily living. This creates purpose and meaning, and a sense of belonging in a place where they can truly feel is their home.
Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Advocacy (IDEA)
As we move into the future, our success will be profoundly shaped by the commitment and actions we take to honoring equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion so that all who live and work in this community are respected and celebrated.
In 2019, a group of residents and team members gathered and formed the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Advocacy (IDEA) Committee.
The purpose of the IDEA Committee is to promote:
- A warm and friendly environment that encourages people to be genuine.
- An inclusive community that supports diversity, and provides the opportunity for all people to be comfortable sharing who they are and to experience belonging.
- Diversity of thoughts, experiences, and opinions that add variety and interest to our environment. When we bring together our rich assortment of life experiences, this naturally expands our world views.
- A welcoming culture where all are valued for their gifts, unique stories, and hopes for the future.
