Transforming the senior living experience with technology
White Horse Village embraces new technologies that enhance life experiences for our residents. We’re a leader in the senior living industry in implementing forward-looking solutions—including improved communications, advances in food service delivery, an inventive mobility program, and innovative partnerships with other organizations in the senior living and medical communities.
In 2023, we are piloting a smart home package for residents to try out different smart home applications and give us feedback. We’ve also created a Technology Studio, where residents can brush up on current skills and learn new tech tricks from a committee of knowledgeable residents. These in-house tech experts are using this space to provide classes and hands-on experiences for other residents.
We believe connectedness and relationships are fundamental to our active senior living community. After a successful initial pilot program, White Horse Village partnered with K4Connect in 2019 to integrate smart home technologies throughout our expansive 96-acre campus.
The K4 community system weaves every aspect of our community life into a single solution, serving the needs of residents and team members. This platform combines the latest in communication, engagement, and voice-activated technologies. The K4Community Plus app also features video communication, social feed, digital signage, and community information and programming.
A forward-thinking approach to living
White Horse Village is always on the lookout for ways to improve the senior living experience.
For instance, two robotic servers assist our team in delivering an enhanced dining experience. Created by Bear Robotics, these robots effortlessly bring food from the kitchen to the table, freeing time for our team members to engage more deeply with residents.
We have also partnered with Exokinetics to offer the Zeen, a unique and patented mobility device that helps residents navigate their world with confidence.
