White Horse Village Awarded Five-Star Rating from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
(Newtown Square, Pa.) — The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded White Horse Village a five-star rating for outstanding care and service. CMS created the Five-Star Quality Rating System—recognized as the gold standard in quality and safety rankings—in 2008 to help consumers, families, and caregivers compare nursing homes. The five-star rating is the highest possible rating.
Nursing home ratings are based on performance in three areas: health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. CMS provides a star rating for each area, and the three ratings are combined to calculate an overall rating. White Horse Village’s Healthcare Center received five stars in all three domains.
“The five-star rating is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated team at White Horse Village, who provide compassionate and person-centered service to each resident,” says Michael Shaw, President & CEO. “Achieving a five-star rating is a significant accomplishment, as it signifies that White Horse Village consistently meets or exceeds the highest standards in every aspect of care.”
White Horse Village offers a variety of independent senior living options and a full range of healthcare services, including personal care, skilled nursing, and memory support.
