White Horse Village fourth annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s raises over $30,000

White Horse Village drew an impressive crowd for its fourth annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraiser on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. The nonprofit senior living community has raised over $30,000 to date, exceeding its goal of $23,000, with donations continuing through the end of the year.

Since 2020, the active senior living community has raised over $100,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter. The community was recognized as Rookie of the Year for 2020 and Top Continuing Care Retirement Community Award for 2021 and 2022.

“We are incredibly grateful to the planning team and all the supporters for making this event a great success,” comments Susan Abtouche, Vice President of Mission Enhancement. “As a community, we are passionate about this cause, and we look forward to hosting a walk each year to raise monies for Alzheimer’s disease research and awareness.”

Residents know all too well the terrible impact Alzheimer’s Disease has on families and pulled out all the stops to generate awareness while fundraising. Aside from traditional donations, residents raised monies by selling ducks for the community’s first Ducky Derby, in addition to brightly colored pinwheels and raffle tickets.
