White Horse Village Vice President presented at the 2020 LeadingAge Annual Conference
Susan Abtouche, Vice President of Mission Enhancement and Sales at White Horse Village, was invited to present at the 2020 LeadingAge Conference held on October 6-8, 2020. LeadingAge is a trusted voice for aging with 6,000+ members and partners, including nonprofit organizations representing the entire field of aging services, 39 state associations, hundreds of businesses, consumer groups, foundations, and research centers.
Abtouche’s presentation, titled “Leadership, Organizational and Personal Factors Influencing Charitable Legacy Giving in Retirement Communities,” shared her dissertation research on residents’ thoughts about charitable legacy giving to their retirement communities. Thirty-seven residents from five retirement communities shared their thoughts about their communities, organizational leadership, life stories, and what motivates or demotivates to make a charitable gift to their communities. Her findings will guide the fundraising efforts of retirement communities during COVID-19 and share insights on meeting donors’ needs.
“It was an honor to present at the LeadingAge Annual Conference,” remarks Susan Abtouche. “LeadingAge produces high-quality events featuring accomplished leaders in the senior living industry across the nation.”
